Corporate support for persons with visual impairment
"Corporates can do more to accommodate the capabilities of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs). Currently, many workplaces accommodate wheelchair users, but more can be done for the visually impaired."
Create more job opportunities with technology
"For instance, digital devices with assistive tools such as screen reader software can help the legally blind use a laptop just like a regular person. If more enterprises that have digitalised their processes tap these tools, more job opportunities can be available to the visually impaired."
Don't stop raising awareness
"It is important for Singaporeans to make a conscious and continuous effort to raise awareness on the needs of PWDs, not just on International Days for PWDs or during the Purple Parade. Because every bit counts."
Tap the power of social media
"We can all help spread awareness on the needs of PWDs through social media. For example, by sharing videos and resources on how to support the blind."
